The Red Squirrel is a small tree squirrel that is reddish brown to grayish brown on top with white-ish bellies. The squirrel has a white eye ring and the tail may be fringed with white. The adults average 10-15 inches in length INCLUDING the 4-6 inch tail.

The adult red squirrel weighs between 5-9 ounces.
