hear the theme song for Gilligan's Island.

Hmmm

Later, when you wake up, you are at the island.  You look around to see if you see any evidence of human life. You discover no signs of human inhabitants, so you step out of the raft, drag it up on the beach about two feet and look around.  There is a white, sand beach that gives way to this hard-looking grass-weed.  There is more vegetation inland (in fact, it looks sort of like a jungle area).

Assignment:

On a sheet of lined notebook paper labeled "Where", list:  Miami, Florida; Jamaica; Liberia, Africa. Using the map below, write the number on the map which indicates the location of each place listed. Use Books #2, 3, 8, 9, & 10 as reference.

List six pieces of evidence of human life that you could look for.

REFER TO YOUR RESEARCH ON OCEAN TIDES AND WRITE ABOUT THE LOCATION OF THE RAFT (GOOD OR BAD?  WHY?).

EXTRA CREDIT: Using the Internet, find an art activity which relates to this survival unit, and complete it. List your source!
